Manual / Settings & administration
Choose what your forms ask for
Customise your sign-up, prayer, testimony, counselling, giving and booking forms, one step at a time.
Go to Settings, then Links & forms. Every public form has a Customize form button that opens a full page builder, with your questions on the left and a live preview of the real form on the right. You can change: member registration, visitor form, children's registration, teens' registration, prayer requests, testimonies, counselling requests, online giving and facility booking.
- 1Open the form's builder.
- 2Click a question's settings icon to change its wording, answer type, hint, help text and whether it is Required.
- 3Use the arrows (or drag) to put questions in order. Choose Add a standard question or Your own question to add more.
- 4For a dropdown, add its choices. Add a choice called Other and people can type their own answer.
- 5Use Only show this question when another answer matches to show a question only after a certain answer, for example ask for the spouse's name only if married. You can show it when an answer is or is not something.
- 6Choose Save form. It is live straight away.
Show a form in steps
Switch on Show this form in steps to split a long form into short steps with a progress bar, a tick for every finished step and a percentage. People feel they are already getting somewhere, so more of them finish.
- 1Turn Show this form in steps on. Two steps are created for you.
- 2Rename each step and add an optional line under its title.
- 3Move questions between steps with the arrows or drag them, and use Add a step for more. Use the arrows on a step to reorder steps, or the bin to remove one.
- 4Each step is checked before the person moves on, and Back always works.
Your own questions on the other forms
Answers to questions you add to prayer, testimony, counselling, giving and booking forms are saved with the request and shown on it, so you can see them when you open it. Standard questions the page needs (for example the prayer request itself) are always on, but you can change their wording.
The admin's Add member form uses the same fields as your member self-registration form, so both always capture the same information. To let people pick a group when they register, add the Groups you would like to join question to the form, and tick Let people choose this group when they sign up on each group.
