Register a member's fingerprint
Enrol one or more fingers so a member can check in with a touch.
Pro plan and above
- 1Open the member's profile on People and choose Register fingerprint (or Manage fingerprints if they already have one). You're also offered this right after adding a member.
- 2Under Which finger? pick a finger (Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring or Little).
- 3Ask the member to place that finger on the scanner, and lift and place it again when asked.
- 4When it says Saved!, choose Add another finger to register a second finger, or Done.
Register two fingers per person, one on each hand. If one finger is cut or dirty on a Sunday, the other still works.
Remove or redo one finger
- 1Open the member's profile and choose Manage fingerprints. Saved fingers are marked saved.
- 2To scan a finger again, tap it. The new scan replaces the old one.
- 3To remove one (for example a finger saved on the wrong person), choose the bin next to it, then Remove fingerprint. Their other fingers stay.
Fingerprint, face and palm devices on a profile
A member's profile shows how they check in. Fingerprint means a finger saved from the USB scanner. Device check-in means they have checked in on one of your face, palm or fingerprint devices. The Check-in devices box shows which way they were recognised, where and when they last scanned, and their device user number.
Devices keep the face or fingerprint on the device itself, not in WorshipHQ, so you enrol people on the device. If someone hasn't been seen on a device yet, the box tells you the number to enrol them under: the number at the end of their member ID (GCI-0042 is 42).
Get each member's consent before registering their fingerprint, and a parent's or guardian's consent for children.
