Edit the messages WorshipHQ sends
Change the wording of every text the app sends, in one place.
WorshipHQ sends many texts for you: receipts, welcomes, birthday wishes, roster reminders, follow-up alerts, counselling reminders, welfare and pledge notices, and the "not seen in a while" messages. They all live in one editor, so you can rewrite each in your church's own voice.
- 1Go to Communications and choose Message templates, or go to Settings and open the Messages tab. The Birthdays, Rosters and Reminders pages link straight to the right message.
- 2On the left, messages are grouped by topic (Members and visitors, Attendance, Birthdays, Rosters, Follow-ups and counselling, Giving and pledges, Welfare). Use the search box to find one.
- 3Click a message. Edit its wording in the box, and tap a name, date or amount chip to put it in. Keep placeholders like {name} and {church}; they are filled in for each person.
- 4Watch How it looks on the right: a phone preview with example names, and the character and SMS count.
- 5Choose Save message, or Back to the standard message to undo your wording.
- A blue dot beside a message means it uses your own wording; an orange dot means unsaved changes.
- Messages marked Goes to your team go to admins or leaders, not to the person.
- Messages from an automation (like the new member welcome or anniversary wish) can be written any time. They are only sent once you switch that automation on under Reminders.
Long messages and emoji use more SMS credits. The editor shows how many parts your message will be.
